The role involves the capability to search, collect and synthesize primary and secondary data on sales prospects and the identification of sales action triggers that lead to well thought-out, tangible and definite actions.
The current position calls for very high levels of motivation and enthusiasm to work on challenging and target-driven assignments.
This is an opportunity for the individual to work closely with the company`s top management to help establish and consolidate this exciting green-field research practice.
Experience in business / market research - active coverage of personnel and companies through primary and secondary research.
Experience in research across multiple industries across the globe will be an advantage.
Ability to collect, validate, synthesize data and draw logical inferences to generate insightful information that drives tangible action
Ability to work with small teams and take the lead on assignments independently.
Experience with using the Internet and online information sources for data collection and good communication skills for people interactions to fulfill primary research needs.
Working knowledge of information sources like Bloomberg, Thomson-Reuters, Capital IQ etc. will be a definite advantage
B.E. / MBA (Marketing) from a Tier 1/2 B-school with a consistent academic record
Stellar communication skills and demonstrable ability to articulate ideas in a presentable manner, both verbal and written
Willingness to work with a growing company with a start-up culture
Data Collection & Synthesis
Clear thinker with an independent mind and the ability to collect and synthesize business, market and financial information to drive conclusive inferences
Strong capabilities in primary and secondary research using the Internet and one-on-one interactions.
This position will involve extensive internal and external communication with the client (sales teams of companies).
Build and institutionalize best practices/models/templates geared towards providing cutting edge insight at par with the best in the world
Provide ad-hoc support to sales and marketing team on qualifying opportunities with detailed intelligence and collaterals
Actionable Information Delivery
Ability to infer context and define specific steps that drive sales actions
Relationship management skills in dealing with known and unknown parties
Be a hands-on and take full ownership of client assignments
